JAUJA / TARMA / SAN RAMON
Riding by paved road, first have to climb up to Huaricolca high pass (4100mt). Then is only downhill. First stop is Tarma, then Palca, to finally arrive to San Ramon. Should be very carefull riding down to the jungle, the main road is curvy, fast, and with transit.
JAUJA / PALCA / SAN RAMON
This is an alternate road, climb is harder because must be done by dirt road and reach 4200mt, this road connects Ricran and Palca. From there the only option is follow the Central Highway. Be very carefull, the main road is curvy, fast, and with transit.
JAUJA / RICRAN / SAN RAMON
To profite the day, is better to climb up by car to the highest point (4.600m), and then, we will be without support for at least 6 hours. The biking downhill trail to the jungle is by a narrow and wild dirt road, following small towns as Tambillo, Monobamba and finally San Ramon Town (700m) in the afternoon.
JAUJA / UCHUBAMBA / SAN RAMON
If climb and adventure is the goal, you shoul take this one. A long climb from 3400mt to 4450m to reach the high pass. Then riding downhill to Uchubamba, known because of this Hot Spring waters. And you may spend the night there, or continue to reach San Ramon close to the night hours
A whole day riding around San Ramon village is a good option to enjoy the nature. The Pampa Hermosa Reserve road is an interesting in-out ride. Or maybe a loop by nearest places of San Ramon Village like Tirol waterfalls.
